Tea Tips : #2

“May you have faith in your worth and act with wisdom”

I think it’s a really great habit to focus on being a better individual in some way every day. Having some sort of goal to focus on, something to work on for self-improvement. Aside from the fact that these tea tips have been really eye-opening and worthy of blogging, I have also been trying to start the habit of drinking tea every morning in place of coffee. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE coffee. But I think tea is a healthier start and doesn’t require dairy which I am attempting to limit in my diet. I know coffee doesn’t require dairy either but puh-lease whoever drinks straight black coffee either has terrible taste buds or is too straight edge. Come on people, a little creamer never hurt anyone.

Alright so enough with the blabber. What does this quote mean to me? Well, to me it screams out, have confidence in yourself damn it! Believe in yourself! Own your awesomeness and walk with your head held high. NO ONE, literally no one has the power to tell you what you are worth, how or what you are feeling, or how you should feel. Because really they have absolutely no idea. Focus on yourself and stand up for yourself. Own your character and be proud of who you are and where you are going. You are responsible for your own feelings, thoughts, and emotions. You cannot blame others for the way you feel. I think that is where acting with wisdom comes into play in this context. Be wise enough to know that you are responsible for feeling the way you do about yourself and no one else.

This is so much easier said than done. It is wayyyy too easy to blame others for feeling sad, or mad, or even happy. But no. You need to stop depending on others for your emotional state because really, at the end of the day, it is your decision to feel how you feel. No one is responsible for your emotions but YOU. So own up to it, admit it, and be perfectly okay with it. Be independent and love yourself and show the world that you are independent and love yourself. Respect yourself and you’ll see how much more people will be prone to respect you.

Oh man. That’s all for today. Good luck, and I hope you can find some meaning for yourself in this Tea Tip 🙂
