Trim in the Gym



Hey guys! Since I promised I would be getting back into gear this week and keep you all on track, let me fill you in on my past two days!

Yesterday was a insanely busy day, but I was able to fit in a 30 minute yoga session I the morning. Again, amazing start to my day, and got the deed done and out of the way!

Today I finally had an hour to myself and I took FULL advantage! I went to the gym and had an intense workout. This included:

Warm up: 30 second sprints x8

Lower body
Bar Squats 6 sets of 10 – increasing weight
Bar Lunges 3 sets of 8 – increasing weight

Upper body
Dumbbell Lateral Raise 3 sets
Front Dumbbell Raise 3 sets
BentOver Dumbbell Reverse Fly 3 Sets
Shoulder Press 3 Sets
Kettlebell Row 3 sets

Leg Raises 3 sets of 20
Climbing Stairs Plank 3 sets of 30
Front and Side Bend 3 sets of 20

Cool down
Really thorough stretch and a few yoga sun salutations (my favorite!)

Needless to say, if you haven’t been in the gym for a week or two, man oh man do you feel it. Walking down the stairs my legs were shaking! But it feels so good and I feel so accomplished!

Someone in the gym even gave me a really nice compliment. They asked, “Do you do CrossFit?” And I said, “Gosh no!” And they said, “Oh well you just really know what you are doing. I never see people do such an intense workout.” I was totally taken by surprise because I’ve never been in that kind of shape to be mistaken for that high of a level, but it was awesome! I guess I have 4 years of College Athletics Physical Training to thank for that!!!

Anyway, so 4 days down and I am pretty happy with how I’ve been keeping up getting back into gear. I want to also make clear that this blog is not all about workouts, I just want to share this week with you guys and hopefully give you all so,e fun tips and/or a new perspective on working out..”daniela style!” Haha
